Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Silverline Ivory Freight is a Louisville logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in loads and lanes and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
