Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Redstone Loom Insurance is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for premium billing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 440 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Investigate trends in premium billing and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on customer complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
