Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Harborlight Amber Housing is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for rent assistance, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 694 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Investigate trends in rent assistance and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on maintenance stores. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
