Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Westbrook Sparrow Transit Planning is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for route schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 87 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in route schedules and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on service alerts. • Python or R for analysis.
