Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

We are growing our team at Cedar Umber Transit Planning and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in survey data and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on route schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
