Data Analyst - forecasting (remote)

Amberfield Cobalt Insurance is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for policy renewals, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in policy renewals and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on underwriting files. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Cincinnati. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
