Data Analyst - forecasting (Providence, RI)

Nova Beacon Early Learning runs childcare centres in Providence caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 87 people based in Providence. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in classroom supplies and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on tuition and subsidies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
