Data Analyst - forecasting (Portland, OR)

Foxglove Hollow Arts Center is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for visitor services, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Portland. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in visitor services and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on ticketing. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
