Data Analyst - forecasting (Portland, OR)

Westbrook Juniper Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Portland. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 44 people based in Portland. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in constituent requests and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on public records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Portland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
