Data Analyst - forecasting (Pittsburgh, PA)

Fernwood Haven Construction builds commercial and industrial projects around Pittsburgh. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in safety records and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on materials orders. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
