Data Analyst - forecasting (Philadelphia, PA)

Fernwood Thistle Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Philadelphia area. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 12 people based in Philadelphia. What you will do • Investigate trends in school calendars and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on family communication. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Philadelphia, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
