Data Analyst - forecasting (Oakland, CA)

Amberfield Corner Auto Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for service appointments, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in service appointments and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on vehicle inspections. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
