Data Analyst - forecasting (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Haven Early Learning and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in classroom supplies and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on meal programmes. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
