Data Analyst - forecasting (Oakland, CA)

Clearpath Lakeside Transit Planning Partners helps transport agencies around Oakland design routes and schedules, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in survey data and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on service alerts. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • We reply to every applicant.
