Data Analyst - forecasting (New Orleans, LA)

Cedar Glen Civic Services works with county and city offices around New Orleans, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 34 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in public records and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on procurement. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
