Data Analyst - forecasting (New Orleans, LA)

Rivermark Nest Learning Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for attendance records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in attendance records and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on learning materials. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
