Data Analyst - forecasting (New Orleans, LA)

Nova Haven Insurance Group provides coverage to households and businesses around New Orleans, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. You would join a large organisation of about 614 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on underwriting files. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
