Data Analyst - forecasting (Minneapolis, MN)

Silverline Freight is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for proof of delivery, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 160 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Investigate trends in proof of delivery and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on dock schedules. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
