Data Analyst - forecasting (Minneapolis, MN)

Foxglove Umber Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Minneapolis. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Investigate trends in collection routes and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on landfill records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Minneapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
