Data Analyst - forecasting (Madison, WI)

Harborlight Wilder Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Madison, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
