Data Analyst - forecasting (Indianapolis, IN)

Cedar Lantern Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Indianapolis. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in customer estimates and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on service appointments. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
