Data Analyst - forecasting (Houston, TX)

Harborlight Thistle Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Houston, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in classroom supplies and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on licensing records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
