Data Analyst - forecasting (Houston, TX)

Summit Basin Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Houston. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. Benefits and stability attract long tenure. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on case files. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
