Data Analyst - forecasting (Houston, TX)

Bluepeak Summit Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Houston. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Houston. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in catastrophe response and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Houston. • We reply to every applicant.
