Data Analyst - forecasting (Houston, TX)

Westbrook Cedar Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Houston region, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in billing disputes and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on hardship programmes. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
