Data Analyst - forecasting (Houston, TX)

Bright Wren Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Houston, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on dock schedules. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Houston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
