Data Analyst - forecasting (Honolulu, HI)

Fernwood Forge Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Honolulu, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in usage data and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on outage response. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Honolulu. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
