Data Analyst - forecasting (Hartford, CT)

We are growing our team at Lumen Timber Water Authority and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be forecasting. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in pipe repairs and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on capital projects. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
