Data Analyst - forecasting (Grand Rapids, MI)

Lumen Thistle Early Learning runs childcare centres in Grand Rapids caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in meal programmes and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on family communication. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
