Data Analyst - forecasting (Fresno, CA)

Nova Loom Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Fresno. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in policy renewals and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on premium billing. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
