Data Analyst - forecasting (Fresno, CA)

Stonegate Summit Insurance Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for premium billing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 32 people based in Fresno. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in premium billing and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on policy renewals. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Fresno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
