Data Analyst - forecasting (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Cedar Thistle Learning Group and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be forecasting. Collaboration between teachers and staff is strong. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in student accounts and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on enrolment. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
