Data Analyst - forecasting (Detroit, MI)

Amberfield Cedar Hospitality Associates operates hotels and event venues around Detroit. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would join a large organisation of about 439 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in food costs and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on supplier orders. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
