Data Analyst - forecasting (Detroit, MI)

Stonegate Meadow Early Learning Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for tuition and subsidies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in tuition and subsidies and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on classroom supplies. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
