Data Analyst - forecasting (Des Moines, IA)

Ironwood Bridge Transit Planning is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for accessibility audits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in accessibility audits and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on route schedules.
