Data Analyst - forecasting (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Redstone North Community Partners and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in food distribution and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on donor records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
