Data Analyst - forecasting (Des Moines, IA)

Foxglove Umber Foods is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for ingredient orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 19 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Investigate trends in ingredient orders and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on customer specifications. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
