Data Analyst - forecasting (Des Moines, IA)

Bright Wilder Insurance is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for premium billing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 126 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on policy renewals.
