Data Analyst - forecasting (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Bright North Early Learning and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be forecasting. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in enrolment and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on tuition and subsidies. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
