Data Analyst - forecasting (Cincinnati, OH)

Nova Ember Markets Partners is a Cincinnati retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our forecasting. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Investigate trends in store inventory and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on online orders. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Cincinnati. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
