Data Analyst - forecasting (Charlotte, NC)

Fernwood Corner Insurance Group sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Charlotte. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on policy renewals. • Python or R for analysis.
