Data Analyst - forecasting (Buffalo, NY)

Stonegate Meridian Civic Services Group supports public agencies in Buffalo with budgeting, records and programmes. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 178 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on permits. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
