Data Analyst - forecasting (Boston, MA)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Orchard Civic Services and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be forecasting. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Investigate trends in constituent requests and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on permits. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
