Data Analyst - forecasting (Boston, MA)

Northwind Union Freight is a Boston logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would join a large organisation of about 602 people based in Boston. What you will do • Investigate trends in dock schedules and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
