Data Analyst - forecasting (Boston, MA)

Cedar Juniper Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Boston design routes and schedules. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Boston. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in service alerts and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on fare systems. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
