Data Analyst - forecasting (Birmingham, AL)

Westbrook Quill Foods Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for production batches, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in production batches and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on cold storage. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
