Data Analyst - forecasting (Austin, TX)

Fernwood Manufacturing Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for production lines, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in production lines and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on customer orders. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
