Data Analyst - forecasting (Austin, TX)

Harborlight Granite Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Austin area. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in pipe repairs and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on billing accounts. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
