Data Analyst - forecasting (Austin, TX)

Fernwood Beacon Staffing Group connects candidates and employers across the Austin region. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in onboarding and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on retention. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
