Data Analyst - forecasting (Anchorage, AK)

Rivermark Thistle Insurance Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on forecasting for premium billing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in premium billing and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Anchorage. • We reply to every applicant.
